RAIN, RAIN, RAIN and more RAIN

Boy I’m getting bad about keeping this up! I know that unless I do it first thing in the morning I will probably not get it done.  Before I got started yesterday Bill suggested going into town for breakfast. Couldn’t say no to that could I. Thought “I’ll do this when we get home.” Well obviously I didn’t. Then I thought, “I’ll do it when the race is over.” Then there was a three hour rain delay for the race – during which I was reading “Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance” and knitting – just need to finish one more square and I can sew them together and the blanket will be done. Still don’t know if I like knitting or not.
It was raining when we got up yesterday. But luckily stopped long enough for the Spring Blossom parade to take place. And then it stayed cloudy and damp all day. Also stayed warm which was nice. We didn’t go to the parade but to get to Columbus we had to go way out in the country as all four streets of Nashville were blocked off for the event. It's was a very pretty drive.

Bill put the squirrel ferris wheels up on a couple of trees out front.
So far no one or nothing has ventured on them.
The sweet little raccoon that was feeding in the back yard has become “that da*n raccoon.”
He got into the garbage that was out waiting for the truck and opened all the bags and drug all the crap all over the place. Life in the country. This is Bill’s idea of buying just one plant!
We did get then all planted and sprayed with “Deer Off” right away though. Learned that lesson the hard way.
This morning and all of today it is and will be raining – pouring and will be for two more days. At least everything is very green.
We’re home now from breakfast – boy everyone goes out in the rain around here. Restaurant was full.
We have sold Jennie. Got our asking price so that is good. She will be picked up next week sometime. Then we’ll have to bring the Alfa home for a while to all the stuff back in it and out of the garage. Maybe if the weather ever dries up we’ll take a short trip somewhere.
About my last post – the excerpt from our Trip to South America – the whole trip can be read at http://www.movingon1.com
It’s almost time for today’s NASCAR race or maybe I should say demolition derby. I don’t like the super speedway races at all. Talk about crap shoots.
Before I forget a lady stopped by to check out the Ram truck. This is what she was driving. Do you think she might need a new truck?
Never know what you're going to see here in these hills.
