Saturday a.m.
Another cool and gloomy day. Come on sun poke your head out even if only for a little while. This is depressing weather. And the cooler it is the more Bill’s leg aches.
We had lunch with Bill’s brother – he is amazing – he’s 81 years old and walks six miles every day and then exercises! We should be half – one quarter even - as active. Our grandson Rick has already been released from the hospital and is back home in Havasu, AZ. Sure is a relief after the first scary phone call.
Yesterday we went out to breakfast then did some more errands. Got another shock. A friend of Bill’s – a jeweler - worked at a small shop in the big indoor swap meet here in Vegas. One place we went was there. Turns out his friend of over 50 years died of a heart attack three days ago. He was six years younger than Bill. Wow!
Then we went to the Argentine market where we stocked up on things we can only get there. Got six packages of frozen empanada dough for future use.
Went to the used book store and stocked up for when we’re in
Just finished reading a book by Lisa Scottolione – She usually writes mysteries but this book “Why My Third Husband Will Be a Dog” is more personal. It’s mainly her thoughts on random subjects. From raising chickens to using skin care products. Pretty funny in places.
The sun is finally showing its face – and the sky is getting blue – now if it would just warm up some.
Going to visit friends this afternoon and maybe to the Bellagio.
