A little sunshine today

It is NOT raining this morning. The sun even came out for five minutes and I happened to have my camera near to document it. Actual sunshine in Brown County.
But not to get too excited there are black clouds all around us and rain is in the forecast. Actually it’s good. All the seeds I scattered and the plants Bill planted will not need watering. Of course the farmers aren’t too happy – they still can’t get into their fields to plant them. One of our new willow trees to the right of the photo.
it's in front of the bridge - hard to see
We weren’t home for St Patrick’s Day so today I’m cooking corned beef and cabbage for dinner. OH CRAP I forgot to buy cabbage! Have to run to store now....
Back from store – somehow managed to get three bags full of stuff and all I needed was cabbage.
Getting back into my “home” routine. Laundry and budget stuff gets done on Mondays. Of course laundry is in the basement and clothes get put away on 2nd floor. So I get my exercise too. Also looking for a pattern for a piece of stained glass I want to make. Some how when Bill was on his riding mower a rock managed to crack one of our front living room windows. I want to make a glass piece to cover it up. We have double paned windows and only the outside pane cracked. I'm just tired of looking at it.
A couple of comments were made about the excerpt of our 1978 trip to South America in the motorhome I posted a day or two ago. Bill has been after me for years to put it in book form. I am hesitant – lots of work would need to be done on it and for what? It is a trip that was taken 35 years ago... not relevant anymore. At least it is written down so our kids can read it.
This little town is crazy - it is a tourist town - no other industry. And a lot of the tourists are motorcyclists. So now the town has decided to enforce the town's noise ordnance. Tickets would be $50. The town Marshall says there aren't enough police to enforce it. So the council said - GET THIS! "If they would enforce it they'd make enough money to hire another person. And the word would get around and the bikes would stop coming"......Ah yes, good idea.......Makes you wonder.

  1. Your story is far from irrelevant, it's a very well-written account of an exciting adventure and will be relevant for all time.
