Another 250 miles closer to home.

Hello from Deming, NM. Traveled 250 miles today – no bad road, no tolls, no cows crossing in front of us and no check points. Started off the morning by going to the Cow Palace for breakfast. Very good. Had to laugh I ordered French Toast and had choice of bacon or sausage – I chose bacon as I missed good old US bacon while in Mexico. Bill told the waiter about my bacon craving so the waiter ended up bringing me two extra pieces. YUM.

We left Amado about 9:00 and got in Deming around 1:30 Arizona time actually 2:30 Mountain Time. Staying at the Dreamcatcher RV park – about ½ block off the I-10. Big pull throughs. 50 amps and only $23.

So we’re now one state closer to home. Speaking of home – got a text from our house sitter this morning. Seems like part of our water heater froze up and broke – so there was a little flood in the laundry room. Need a new water heater and some drying out. This has been a really crappie winter – what else?

Other than that not much else going on. Going to read and/or knit for a bit then fix dinner. Tomorrow we hope to stop in Alamogordo, NM about 150 more miles.
