Quiet Sunday - probably our last in Mazatlan

The time changed here last night – so it was still light at 7:20 p.m. Going to be hard to go to sleep tonight.
Bill cooked breakfast this morning for the first time in a long time. Almost returning to normal around here. We picked up his test results today and they were encouraging. His counts were up a little bit but not enough to be worried. But that was just from going from IV antibiotics to oral antibiotics.
We’ve changed our minds again about going home. We’ve decided to leave here Wednesday or Thursday and go home through Arizona like we always do. Thought it made more sense to take a familiar route where we know where we can stop if we want to. But now we’ve got to eat up a lot of food that I thought we had a long time to eat. Lots of things we can’t bring back into the US. Like chicken, chicken products, pork, pork products, some vegetables – mainly potatoes????  So guess I’ll be doing a lot of cooking in the next couple of days. The funny thing is the chicken we have left is from the US but we have no way of proving it.
And checking on the gasoline and diesel prices – much cheaper in the US then here in Mexico

  2. It is a good idea to take the more familiar and less stressful route home. Sounds like a few chicken dinners are in your future...
