Staying here longer - Pictures from last week.

We have decided to stay here until Friday. There is a change in the weather here too. When I got up the sun had just come over the mountain and it was shining brightly. Now it is behind a big black cloud and the temperature has dropped like a rock. There is a 30% chance of rain today and cooler temps in the high 60s and it won’t be warming up till about Thursday. Looking out the windows to the east the sky is black to the west it is blue.

Spent yesterday mostly hanging around here. Watched the race from Martinsville. Good points day for Kyle came in 5^th.  Did more knitting and reading and napping. I hate it when I nap then I can’t fall asleep at night until the wee hours.

So thought I’d post some pictures from earlier in the week. First some from Jerome. Went into one of the many many gift shops and saw this stained glass kaleidoscope [glad spell check knew how to spell that]. It is a box shape and you look in through the back side to the colors at the front.  Think I’ll try to find a pattern on line.

A lot of the stores have the “old looking” tin ceilings. I always liked them but can figure out where to put one.

We walked around a little – it is a mile high so walked slow. The info plaque for the Hotel Connor.

I found a shop in Jerome that I had to go in. Called Knit 1 Bead 2 – Lots of interesting yarns and very expensive beading supplies. Just looked around – But these pretty flowers were just outside. Spring has sprung here in Arizona. 

I mentioned the road we took out of the ghost town – just heading up it. The wide less curvy part. This is when Bill heard the noise in the brakes.

I took so many pictures while we were there especially of the old trucks and cars. But won’t bore you with them.

Oh! The sun just popped out again. The MiFi has started working faster again. Several of the other users have left the area. Good.
